It's been a busy couple of days with the Governor of South Carolina scandal blowing up and Obama's half assed attempt to explain his health care plan.
I will first tackle the awful things the Governor of SC has done, not only to his family but his party. With his little vacation away from his family on Father's Day weekend Governor Sanford cleared his head alright, with his Latin American mistress and also hopefully his desk. For a man to claim to be of a higher moral standard than the rest of us to behave in such a manor is disgusting by itself but to do so leaving the state in which you govern with no way of being contacted is beyond stupid and probably against the law. He should and hopefully he will resign. He may have also used taxpayer money for the trip. Full Story Here
Then we have the President by most accounts struggling to detail and explain his own health care plan. His so-called "Prescription for America" sounded more like another reaching and unexplainable plan that is full of holes and should probably have been ironed out before the program. I understand something needs to be done but lets not put in place something that would be worse than what we've got. And I'm not even saying his plan would be worse but lets debate it a little bit and make sure. What I have read about the preventative measures being added to the bill I like very much so far. We need more preventive care and less after the fact care, this alone will greatly reduce cost for everyone. Full Story Here

And how can I forget North Korea and Iran? Do you see what happens when you leave unfinished business? North Korea should have been taken care of long ago and now they pose a very serious threat and we need to get very tough with them. They claim they will wipe us of the map if inspect their ships which may be carrying illegal weapons and now they vow to increase their atomic capacity and use nuclear weapons. This could have been Saddam in twenty years or one of his sons. We don't know nor will we ever know but it makes you ponder the thought what if we just let Iraq sit like we have done with North Korea? By not finishing the job when we had the opportunity. Now Iran. So far the president's foreign policy hasn't been going to well. We have North Korea threatening a strike and now Iran refusing to talk because of his soft comments about the killing of protesters. About 20 people have been killed in protests after Ahmadinejad was re-elected in a disputed June 12 poll which opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi says was rigged. In what appeared to be further evidence of the government's determination to crush resistance, 70 professors were detained after meeting Mousavi, his website said on Thursday. His own ignorance about them being willing to talk and we need to engage our enemies is and will lead him nowhere. Full Story Here
