Man I don't know how you got that I was saying we should privatize any of those things.  That is governments function and that's about the extent of it.  Why don't you go and live in Europe then if you want to be European so bad.  Just because they do it doesn't mean we have to and if they were so much better then our health care why don't people travel there for surgeries and special procedures?  Oh because we are better, we have better technology.  Health insurance is not why these people live longer.  For one they eat far less processed foods than we do.  It is your responsibility to take care of yourself.  We abuse health insurance in this country because we get tests we don't need and go to the doctor when we don't need to, that drives up cost.  And if the governments new plan was so good why don't the people who are creating it join it?

You know what lets privatize police, firefighters, libraries, department of transportation, F.B.I., C.I.A., and Military while we are at it since the government is terrible and private corporations are so ethical.  Just imagine all of that ran by private corporations.   Read this sentence and tell me if it's ethical, "I profit from people being sick."  Majority of the industrialized world has government run health care.  Why aren't they revolting?  I want you to do a poll in those countries and ask  if they want private insurance lol.  They all have higher life expectancy than us.   Cuts to Medicare are being proposed because with a public option not as much benefits are needed.  The reason Medicare is having problems is because health care costs are ridiculous.  Ask seniors if they want their government run health care taken away so they are forced to buy private insurance.

 

It's immoral for somebody to profit and flourish from the sick and dying.  Why don't you understand that?  If firefighters were privatized do you think it would be great if they charged you money before they came to put out a fire lol?  Why do you defend a industry that gets incentives and bonuses from the amount of people they deny health care to?

Capitalism only works when there is competition and the Private Health Care providers have none because everyone gets sick and they are forced to pay into a broken and expensive system.

 

The reason the public option is the answer because looking around the world it provides health care to all that need it.  They pay barely anything per family compared to us.  They are ranked higher than us in health care.  It will force private insurers to compete and lower their costs.  France who has a hybrid system of private and government health care very similar to the system in congress, has the Number 1 health care system in the world.  Number one in costs, quality, and quantity. 

 

Every single U.S. citizen deserves a chance at life.  The size of your wallet shouldn't determine your life expectancy.

I am glad to hear that they lack the 60 votes. I don't understand and will never understand how the only way is a government option. The facts have been skewed and misrepresente so much its hard to tell what the truth is. But we all know how governmetn runs things. If medicare is running so smoothly then why are there so many cuts being proposed? Because they are mismanaging it thats why. Government intervention is not the answer.
